    Job description

    We are looking for a skilled Python & GCP Data Engineer to support a high-load data pipeline project within our client’s cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services beyond BigQuery, particularly in orchestration and automation.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines in GCP.

    • Implement solutions using Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer (Airflow), and Cloud Build with Terraform.

    • Optimize and automate ETL workflows for performance and reliability.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data engineering with business needs.

    • Ensure code and infrastructure quality through testing and CI/CD best practices.

    • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline operations.

    • Optionally, utilize Data Flow and Data Proc for advanced data transformation tasks.

    Job requirements

    Must-Have:

    • Proven experience building and maintaining data pipelines using Python in a GCP environment.

    • Hands-on expertise with GCP services:

      • Cloud Functions.

      • Cloud Composer (Airflow).

      • Cloud Build (Terraform).

    • Strong understanding of distributed systems, data orchestration, and pipeline optimization.

    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

    • Fluent in English.

    Nice to Have:

    • Experience with PostgreSQL.

    • Familiarity with GCP’s Data Flow and Data Proc.

    • CI/CD practices in cloud-native environments.

    • Previous work in enterprise-scale data systems.
